Sally Hansen introduced Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips allowing girls of all ages to rock eye-catching nail designs from cheetah print to fluttering butterflies. At $10 a pop, the Sally strips run about the same as a full manicure at your local nail salon-- sans the shaping and cuticle removal.
When I came across a similar kit at Francesca's Collections for $6, I couldn't resist! I admit I was wary of the quality, but for just $6 I was willing to take the risk.
I bought the "Salon Style Real Nail Polish Strips" in an adorable houndstooth print and wasn't disappointed. After a quick and simple application, I topped off my snazzy new mani with a glossy topcoat and was ready to show off my handy work!
Tips for flawless nail strip application:
1. Start with polish-free nails.
2. Buff, file, and wash nails thoroughly.
3. Take your time with the application. Use nail file to smooth edges of strips.
4. Use a high shine top coat to prevent chipping.
