My Real Life Breakfast at Tiffany's

It’s been fifty-four years since Audrey Hepburn, outfitted in a chic black gown, opera gloves, and oversized sunglasses, stood in front of a Manhattan jewelry store’s window to enjoy her morning coffee and croissant.  Any woman alive could tell you that store was none other than Tiffany & Co.
Audrey has been one of my favorite actresses and personal style icons for as long as I can remember.

Sunscreen 101: Why It's That Worth It

L'oreal Paris Sunscreen and It's That Worth It Campaign

For the eleventh year, Miami Swim Week took over Miami Beach last weekend with a bevy of hot bodies strutting across stages and floating runways to entice buyers and media with next season's swimwear and resort wear looks. With models on full display, there was one thing they all had in common: a golden tan*. It's the summer trend that never goes out of style, yet most don't realize it's also the most dangerous.

What to Wear to a Summer Wedding

A summer wedding can be tricky to dress for, especially if it's a destination affair. When Eric's sister announced she would be saying "I do" in Portugal this summer I was excited to start planning our trip, which naturally was followed by thoughts of "but what will I wear?!"

Coral Gables Fashion Week Kicks Off at Cattiva Boutique this Thursday!

The first-ever Coral Gables Fashion Week is here! Join me this Thursday, March 19th from 6 to 8pm at Cattiva Boutique as we kickoff three days of festivities with a Gables' Night Out shopping event. Sip on champagne and enjoy complimentary hair styling by Doperdoll Salon while shopping the latest looks from designers like Torn by Ronny Kobo, Dolce Vita, Betsy Moss and Amanda Uprichard. 10% of the evening's proceeds will benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Having spent part of my childhood in the Gables, and once again calling The City Beautiful home, I'm really excited to be part of an event celebrating fashion in my own backyard (literally!) Help me support the inaugural Coral Gables Fashion Week and our talented neighbors by celebrating with us on Thursday night.

Make sure to use the hashtag #CGFW when sharing your stylish updates from the party.

Cattiva Boutique is located at 257 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables.

Champagne + Spring Savings at Trina Turk Bal Harbour

If there's one designer that just gets Miami resort wear it's Trina Turk. So how apropos for this Miami native to be hosting the Spring Style Out Event at Trina's Bal Harbour boutique tomorrow evening. I had the opportunity to preview the new spring collection a few weeks ago and the pieces are classic Trina with a 60s mod vibe. The saturated colors and psychedelic prints are just in time for Spring Break. Join me in-store tomorrow from 6 to 8pm and enjoy 20% off all new arrivals, plus champagne and sweet treats courtesy of Batter and Cake. One lucky guest will win an exclusive 20th Anniversary Collection Handbag.

Turquoise Waters and Coral Sunsets

While browsing the racks at Shop Splash in South Miami a couple of weeks ago I stopped abruptly when I found this chic lace jacket and pencil skirt. The fabric was delicate, but the color vibrant. It's the typical edgy-yet-elegant aesthetic that is the hallmark of Alexis, and very much representative of my own personality. Needless to say I couldn't wait to style this look for the camera. Splash has such a great selection of Alexis pieces, it's my new go-to when I'm shopping for one of my favorite labels.

Je T'aime | Paris Engagement Shoot

Shooting our engagement photos in Paris was an absolute fairytale. I still can't believe this is us! I've been anxiously waiting to receive the full set of photos from our sweet and talented photographer, The Paris Photographer, for a couple of months now, so when I received a late night Facebook message from Fran last week I literally jumped out of my seat. As soon as I clicked the link to our private photo gallery I was instantly transported back to that unforgettable Friday afternoon in Paris.
