Keep it Culottes

One of the biggest trends to emerge this spring is undoubtedly the return of culottes. Not to be confused with your mom's denim gaucho pant from the 1970s, this season's must-have comes in a variety of colors and textiles and pairs well with structured minimalist pieces. I fell in love with these Blaque Label Culottes during the Shopbop friends & family sale and didn't hesitate to order them.

They're the perfect update to my classic wide leg trousers that I've worn to threads. (Kudos to Shopbop for their amazing customer service - I initially received the wrong size in my shipment and they me the correct size overnight, no questions asked. Love that!) I broke them in during Bridal Fashion Week in New York last month, but I think I like them better with this BCBG top I'm currently obsessing over.

BEAUTY LOOK
For today's glam, Vee of @iBrushYou decided on a barely-there makeup look and romantic hair to keep with the minimalist vibe of my outfit. With the help of my Hotheads hair extensions she created a beautiful braided headband complimented by big soft waves. I love this hairstyle for longer tresses because it keeps your hair out of your face without the use of bobby pins or not-so-cute elastics, while still allowing your hair to flow freely. #longhairdontcare

Throwback fashions can be tricky, but my bestie Steph just bought a pair of nearly identical pants so I think I'm onto something. Are you feeling the culottes trend?
